Over the last few years, I’ve noticed a pattern of isolation among peers seemingly exacerbated by the pandemic. However, there's a growing desire within younger generations to step away from screens and practice mindfulness. There is a rising trend to learn and practice handmade crafts, especially with the popularity of generative A.I. programs. In response to this sentiment, and inspired by my favorite girls' night activity, I created Made Lovely: Craft & Sip Kits—a subscription service that brings a fun evening of crafts and cocktails with friends right to your doorstep. Made Lovely fosters a sense of community while nurturing creativity, as well as encouraging mindfulness and learning new skills. The branding utilizes bright, playful colors that embody Made Lovely’s fun, quirky personality. The vintage-inspired typography combined with the kitschy imagery captures the nostalgic feeling of digging through your grandma’s treasure trove of crafting supplies. In a time where people seem to isolate more every day, this project was born out of a collective desire for building creative communities and human connection.
